Homelog Privacy Policy

Homelog is a home appliance management app that helps you track your appliances, maintenance history, and repairs. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Account and Authentication Data
Homelog uses Supabase for user authentication. When you create an account, we collect your email address and store a securely hashed password. This data is used solely to authenticate you and sync your data across devices.
Appliance and Home Data
Information you enter about your appliances, repair records, notes, and maintenance logs is stored in our Supabase database associated with your account. This data is yours and is not shared with third parties.
AI Query Data
Homelog includes an AI assistant feature. When you submit a query, it is routed through a secure proxy to OpenAI’s API. Queries are not permanently stored on our servers and are not used to train AI models.
Subscription Data
If you subscribe to Homelog Pro, your subscription is managed by RevenueCat. RevenueCat may collect your Apple ID, transaction IDs, and subscription status. We do not receive or store your payment card information. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy for details.
Local Device Storage
Some app data and preferences are stored locally on your device using iOS CoreData. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted unless you are signed in and syncing.
HOW WE USE YOUR DATA
We use your data to provide and improve the Homelog app, authenticate your account, sync your data across your devices, and process your subscription. We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising.
DATA RETENTION
Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data by contacting us at the email below. Upon deletion, your data will be removed from our systems within 30 days.

Homelog uses the following third-party services:

RevenueCat (subscription management): revenuecat.com
OpenAI via secure proxy (AI assistant): openai.com
Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We recommend reviewing them if you have questions about how they handle data.
CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
Homelog is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
